Okay this place is amazing. In the last twenty-four hours we almost got rammed by buffalo, rode a dirt jump park, and hiked a crazy DH specific trail on NF lands. The photos that follow will surely not do this day justice, but enjoy what you see and ask for the stories next time you see me.

On the road with too much work to do.
Well, we have pulled into this great little spot called Curt Gowdy State Park between Cheyenne and Laramie, WY and have been stuck in the office pretty much the whole time. There are a slew of projects that have come through the hopper over the last couple weeks and we have gotten behind. So, office bound it is. Today marked a good point in getting out about half of the stuff we needed to do. Don't think I am only in side the trailer though. In "spare time" or on coffee breaks, I have been going back to the roots of tool making and started creating gluts and mauls. The original wedges and hammers. Look it up. Check the photo and look for the wooden wedge, used to split long sections of log, and the wooden club, used to hit the wooden wedge. This part has been fun. Maybe the thunder will hold off for a ride this afternoon, if not then tomorrow morning before we head to Jackson, Wy. If anyone from there ever checks out this blog, get in touch. Otherwise...see you on the trail.

Well, I got the Pro Line yesterday and am ecstatic. The afternoon was great. A few families came and went a few rippers came and went and everyone enjoyed a beautiful day in the outdoors together. I hope to be back in the Spring to try to boost up the site some more, but for now things are getting on. The boys plan on doing some more work to the pro line in the next few months and hope to get the whole set hitting. But the beginner stuff is looking good and is getting the garbage ridden out of it. Until then I will just have to find the other jump spots in the west, I here there are a few, but I think we need some more. Time to get back to work.

Rapid City ROCKS!!!
Been riding the crap out of Rapid City, oh and we got the truck back for crazy cheap on the fix. I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Did some riding yesterday afternoon and started hitting the pro set, when I was here last year there was no way I was up to that level of riding, I guess it has been a good year on the bike. Below is a picture of me holding the TWO, COUNT TWO, awards that the Dirt Jump Park won. One from the National Recreation and Park Association and one from a State recreation and park association. How cool is that. Want me to build an Award Winning Dirt Jump Park for you...get in touch. Email me at benblitch at gmail dot com.

Broken down in a great town!!
Well, we made it to Rapid City, SD just in time for the Air Conditioning Compressor Bearing to eat itself....so we are stuck for a couple days. SWEET! We are deleting the A/C system as the fix. Make it simple, with this little pulley.
Other than that little mishap, yesterday went pretty well. We put in ten hours and had to try to hobble the truck the last hundred or so miles. But, I am riding distance from the trails at M-Hill, the DJ park and walking distance from "the best dog park in town". In the face of adversity create a smile. Should have some cool photos of the trails and DJ park over the next couple days, cause we got consistent interwebby. Hope you enjoy.

Westward Bound
Well, it has been a crazy couple days as we have traversed about four states and stop in a number of places to hang out and ride. Last we left you we were in Dayton, Ohio at the cycling summit. The next day I got to ride MoMBA, but was having too much fun to shoot any photos. Then we sped over to Turkey Run in Indiana and had a great Sunday with a relaxing hike in some of the most amazing terrain I have ever seen. Think eastern box canyons, I have photos, but those are for Jenn and I. Finally, we just left Madison, Wisconsin after two great rides. One at Trek with Dwayne B and the other with the club folks at Blue Mounds. The Blue Mounds stuff was really cool, sorry about the lack of photos on it, but riding has just been too fun lately to stop for any reason. After this afternoon I will have gotten three rides in two days.
Photos from Dayton, a skate plaza in Kettering (art and fun), and the road passing us by. Next time you should hear from us it will be from Rapid City, SD.

Brown County Withdrawl...
Some photos from the week, sorry I don't have more, but some of the best features were just too fun to stop and take photos of. For the rest of the week we are in Dayton Ohio for the Miami Valley Cycling Summit to participate in the expo during the summit. Be our first one, kinda stoked. For now enjoy the photos and as always ride your bike more!

Brown County State Park
Brown County State Park in Indiana has just shot to the top of my list for favorite state park in the country. Before this it was Douthat in Virginia, but after just a weekend here, I can tell you this place is AMAZING. Oh and the trails are pretty darn good too. Schooners Trace...Ah yeah Pisgah in Indiana.
HMBA in conjunction with Alex Stewart have done a really good job putting RTP funds to use on the system. A full run down and some of my photos to come later this week after I have had the chance to ride the whole system, but I can say...this place has a little bit of everything with more on the way.
Enjoy Monday folks, you know I am gonna try to.
